🌏 Building Bridges in Melbourne

On 6 June, our President Mr. Paul Lai, together with former President Mr. Jack Ao and Mrs. Ao, President of the Lions Club of Macau Mr. Peter Ao, Justice of the Peace Ms. Rufina Chan, and Vice President of the Chinese Stroke Support Group Ms. Susan Zheng, made a meaningful visit to the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne.

The meeting was warm, constructive, and forward-looking. Discussions centred on how community organisations can work more closely to support Chinese Australians, enhance cultural exchange and mutual understanding, and foster greater opportunities for cooperation between Australia, Macau, and China.

We are sincerely grateful to the Consulate team for their kind reception and thoughtful exchange. The dialogue not only offered valuable perspectives on future cultural initiatives, but also explored ways to deepen business ties, highlighting the importance of building bridges through friendship, respect, and collaboration.

The Chamber remains committed to carrying this spirit of cooperation forward, and we look forward to creating more meaningful connections for our members, partners, and the wider community.
